PPZ Mania!

With the hit of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (PPZ), a prequel was created:

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls by
This is where we witness the start of the zombie plague in early-nineteenth-century England. We watch Elizabeth Bennet evolve from a naïve sixteen year old into a savage slayer of the undead. Her sisters quickly learn to be slayers by their ninja master, Master Hawksworth, and together they are sent to take up arms against the stricken enemy. This is where the fun begins!

This is a must read if you have read PPZ! It's a great prequel. The action happens right away. A funeral is in service when all of a sudden Mr. Bennet sees Elizabeth's face in horror. Mr. Ford, the dead guy, sits up and opens his eyes. AAAAAAAAAAH! The plague has returned! While everyone wusses out and runs away, widowed Mrs. Ford, Mr. Cummings, Mr. Bennet, Elizabeth, and Mary stick around to dispose of the creature. Mr. Bennet has Elizabeth kill her first stricken. MUAHAHA! I loved reading this prequel. From here on the Bennet girls start their training and the book explains how Lizzy becomes so stern with men. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time reading this wondering when main characters were going to be killed off. I anticipated the small love stories and feelings the girls had. This book was a great mash up of action and a bit of love flings. Nothing like finding love in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.
Even though I had zombie nightmares, I liked this book a lot.
5 out of 5 monkey brains
