Warm Bodies
R is a zombie. He has
no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams. He doesn’t
enjoy killing people; he enjoys riding escalators and listening to Frank
Sinatra. He is a little different from his fellow Dead.
R and his zombie buddies leave their hive at the airport to go find
some fresh meat. They stumble on to some teens and start hacking away at
them. R heads to one kid and chomps down on his brains. Soon a
sensation floods R...memories, feelings, and the urge to save Julie, the
terrified girlfriend of the teen whom R is eating. R stashes Julie's
boyfriend's brains in his pocket. Perry is his name and R can't seem to
get enough of him. Ever since he snatched Perry's brains and ate them,
strange stirrings have occurred. R is less hungry, talking more, and his
friend M is changing as well. Could this be because of Julie, or Perry,
or because R no longer wants to be part of the Dead. Whatever it is,
the zombies are changing for what seems to be for the good, but can the
Living see it the way Julie sees it in R?
Such a great novel. True zombie-romance! Never have seen such a tale in zombie lore.

Have you seen the movie pictures? They're neat but not very Zombie-ish, they look like they just slapped some black lipstick on them poped in some contacts and called it a day... pure lazyness I tell you. My inner zombie makeup lover shakes her fist in shame.
ReplyDeleteI have seen them and some movie shots. I figured they wouldn't do it over the top cuz it is a luuuurve story. But your makeup style would be way better. :P
