PPZ gets serious with a trailer

Finally after 6 years of talking, going through directors and cast, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is coming to theater in 2016.
From the trailer we can see they have gotten a bit too serious about being badass respectable young women with killing zombie skills. The novel was always a little bit comical feeling and it has not translated onto screen that way, atleast just from seeing the trailer. The gore as stepped up and is paired with the darkness of plague and unbathed middle class white folk just like the book. I do look forward to seeing some actors in there like Lena Headey and Lily James.

The new Pride and Prejudice and Zomies...NOW with a scheduled date!

Back in March (I know I am behind the times), Entertainment Weekly got the dish on the PPZ film coming to the big screen February 2016. Many directors have been bouncing around even though who could resist the classics and some zombies. Burr Steers, director of Charlie St. Cloud, has signed on and let's hope this sticks. Otherwise I am going to get all kung-fu on somebody and it ain't need to be zombies. Dr. Who's Matt Smith, Lily James from Downtown Abby, and OOH! Lena Headey  and Charles Dance from Game of Thrones now has a spot according to IMDB. I can't wait!

a corpse said to be revived by witchcraft

That is the definition of a good ol' zombie according to Google. Why am I trying to educate you on something you already are familiar with? (I assume you are since you are visiting my blog). Well ZD fans Etsy has these really wicked pictures from PageRager where zombie art has been drawn on some vintage dictionary pages. We got PPZ to our right, the greatest zombie in literature Mr. Frankenstein's Monster jamming out, and of course some emo looking dead girl or your crazy ex-girlfriend after you broke up with her and started dating her BFF.
I couldn't help but love a lot more of these prints then I should have. There was Marilyn, Audrey Hepburn, and seems like PageRager has a rager for Bill Murray. Check out his great work!
See the jump for another zombie related and of course the gothic man himself, Poe.
