I've posted before some bookends on the site, and now I have found a few more. Since I made a nice personal library area in my house I have been curious to see what is out there for me to add to my zombie shelf. Here are some favorites.
The Creepy Half Zombie Half Skull Bookends is both eye catching as a sculpture or holding your books from toppling over.
Although no longer available, Bookworm Bookends are the ideal "head in a book" that is quirky if you are looking for less spook.
Classic Walking Dead fan? Keep your pride with in the undead with these grotesque hands crawling up your books and lending a hand (heehee).
Etsy always has the best items and this Zombie Prayer Hands will just set off the nonbelievers of the zombie apocalypse.

Ring a ling a ding dong!
I need a new phone. Mine keeps freezing, programs stop working, I am also still not on a plan so I just do cheap as pay-as-you-go (I literally have WiFi in 80% of the places I go), the camera sucks, and so I have been contemplating when to get one. I'm cheap. I wanna save money. Right now I have a Google Nexus 4 which is my fiancé's old phone. I know most of you are saying "Get an iPhone!" Well I know they are sleek and awesome but I do like my Android. So before I go and get a new phone, I wanna bask in the great phone case options I have out there for all devices new and old. Let's take a look! Real Wood Walking Zombie with Plastic Case Cover For Iphone 5s via Etsy. This case says "I care about all things organic; even rotting corpses."
This one is a toughy. We have some Disney undead princesses, Hello Zombie Kitty, Zombie Eat Fresh (YUM), Keep Calms, the Shaun of the Dead list, Don't Dead (lol), TWD, How To, Period Hands, and a zombie head. Best thing about these are they are those wallet cases combo which I think is GENIUS. Also why I want a new phone so I can have this sweet option. These cases are for all kinds of iphones and even an ipod touch via Etsy for $21 CAD.

Another earth friendly option is bamboo! For the iPhone 6 on Etsy for $34 CAD here is a zombie word collage.
AND if that doesn't get you pumped here is an engraving in wood with THREE wood choices. THREE!!!! Who can choose?! Etsy for 40 smackers CAD.
We gotta have a TWD case with our crush Mr. Dixon. This seller GoDIttoDitto sells this and SO many other cool cases for so many devices.

And finally, for those of you you like to swim, throw, smash, drop and who knows what else, the iPhone LifeProof case in Keep Calm!
Etsy for $13 CAD.
Well that is all folks. Sorry to bombard you with Etsy products too. Just my fav place to look at things. Mostly to only look. Shipping can be a pain in the @$$.

Monday Mention: Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide
Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide
by Heather Dakota, Ali Castro (Illustrator)
The coiled bound book is designated into 3 parts: one explaining the zombie virus; second, how to properly identify zombies, and a third on some skills to use in the zombie apocalypse.
Visually intriguing with chicken scratched writing, blood spatter, pictures looking like they are taped in, this book has such an awesome appeal to it which is why I wanted to read it. Even the cool illustrations, minus the weirdly photoshopped zombies, are something to bring life to this book. It is great to see a book about something almost fictional supported by epidemic and pandemic information, actual ways to survive in the wilderness with skills such as purifying water, how to build a proper fire, edible insects and plants, even a cloud pattern guide so you know what kind of weather to watch out for on top of the walking dead.
These are the kind of zombie books I don't mind really showing people who aren't zombie fans since it talks about survival and just common safety measures.
The cover was in one of those holographic morphing changing images that goes from this young man to the scary zombie you see at the top.

Zombie Prayer
So the apocalypse has happened, and maybe your the type that prayers help you gain strength while you slay the walking undead demons, but you can't find the correct reading in Psalms? Try this little night time prayer from Etsy.
This would have been a much better prayer to say before bedtime than the one I used to recite as a little girl....but that was before I discovered Jediism.

Who turned out the light?!
As one character faded away last night on the return of The Walking Dead, we need something bright in our future to keep on hammering on. Best way to shine some light than.....
With your very own zombie hand lamp! This little gem will set you back over $100 but will be the talk when the grandparents come over and think you butchered one of their beloved friends from the senior home.

Terminus was way worse than Woodbury. Tyreese was lucky to see them both. You can now bask in the hope it gave them all with the Zombie Apocalypse lamp shade from Etsy for $81.

So how is everybody recovering this Monday? Who is feeling like our gang on TWD needs a break? I know I do from all the sorrow I am feeling still from the mid-season.

Artist Dave Stencil got a Kickstarter and has created these rich wooden boards around $35 for your enjoyment. Prepare for the apocalypse while preparing supper!

Blend in with a Zombie Hoodie
Stay warm in the zombie horde while masking yourself as one of the fellow undead with this Zombie Hoodie from ThinkGeek.
Regularly $50 CAD.
"(E)xposed ribs, muscles, internal organs, and even some seriously-oversized maggots printed on it for effect."The hood can zip up to block your eyes from seeing correctly and creating an illusion good enough to get shot! Kidding aside, this is a wicked hoodie every zombie lover should have in their attire.

Guns hidden so your wife doesn't get mad with them all around the house
I'm one of the "wife" ladies that can't stand the guns and bullets slowly making its way into my house. Mind you they may come in hand for the zombies one day so there is the bright side. But the sight of them are atrocious!
Geekologie shared that Tactical Walls builds some fashionable and functional gun safes you can have all around your house so no one knows how much of a gun freak you are.
I'll stick to something that has unlimited ammo like a katana or a hammer if needed. I'm more likely to shoot myself before I ever got a zombie square in the head.
See the sites above for videos and more information.

Zombie How To
It is always nice to get a refresher once in a while for our future zombie apocalypse. We mustn't lose focus on the goal: to survive! Shout out to Canadians and other Northern Hemisphere countries, winter has struck so zombies numbers will be lower this time of the year so that is a bonus!
A great tip: always have duct tape. And like a true Canadian and a Red Green fan, "If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy." SO BE HANDY!!! BE A MAN!
This tip and others are listed in the great Infographic below.

Pop a Bottle, Let your body waddle
As if this bottle cap opened was precious enough, this one uses the eye of a walker from The Walking Dead comic to ease your way in your alcoholic depression. The solid metal lets you reef away to open your brew of choice. Me? I prefer to use my own eye socket.
From ThinkGeek for about $18.

Motoped Survival Bike
A mountain bike-motorcycle hybrid kind of machine, this bike has a gas tank equipped, a gas can, and optional tools like ropes, axe, and Mr. Dixon's weapon of choice; a crossbow. Why this is an option and not a built-in tool makes me think the guys that designed this aren't thinking about how many ladies they could be getting.*
*Yes only dudes would think of something this absurd. AND AWESOME!

What do I need?
Ever wonder what you need for when the undead arrive? Afraid you missed something? Well look no further than this grocery list made to help you survive and stay alive.....until you trip, fall, and are mauled.
Complete with all the food groups and some other goods, even for you pet, this list is the way to go for preparing for the apocalypse.
What do I need baby crap for? Babies are clearly great meat shields.
