Zombie Princess

 I enjoy a great special effects artist and I am loving seeing some random ones popping up on all kinds of social media. Anything gory, macabre, or "freaky" and I'm on it like zombies to a brain. ;)

 HanneHurskainen is from Finland and a beauty. While she hasn't dabbled in SFX long from what I see on DeviantArt, I still think she kicked ass on this lumpy zombie vixen.

Natalie Kirk which can be found on Facebook, Twitter , and where I found her, Instagram, is self-taught SFX make-up artist and body painter. Her work is very Tim Burtonesque (she even features some of his stuff) and clearly enjoys the supernatural/horror genre.   Seen on the left is what I first found of hers. I love Pop Art anything, but love it more with zombie shit. Of course. See below for a few more zombie paint jobs and really go and check out her work.

Social Media turning us into Zombies

Seems every thing around us is a zombie, even our social media having is creating us into zombies. Social media can be very addictive and obsessive over everything else we do. We have this need to check constantly what is going on, posting every little thing we do to the point we are glued to our screens, drooling over the next thing to post or see posted. Sask Prep Camp Makes the News

Back in March we mentioned that in May Saskatchewan was to have its it's first Zombie Prep Camp. It did. And it was a hit! It received a two page in one of Saskatoon's newspapers The Verb (pg.4 & 5).  They made it into loads of papers and sources on the net including yours truly. The camp made a Facebook page and posted TONS of pictures from the May long weekend (I'm featuring some of them now). 

 The camp was like none other. A mess hall, morning activities (yoga stretches), archery, fire building class, first defense class, and other fitness and survival classes all with zombies looming near by.

Changes

So I have been at this blog for a good year and a half. It is getting a little popular and I have been thinking some changes are needed to be done. Over the next month you will see these changes.

First off I plan on making this blog into more of a website. Going to buy myself a domain! I think .com sounds way better than blogspot.ca so be on the look out for that. I'll tweet the new domain when it happens and give updates along the way. 

Another change I'm doing will be adding some darn awful ads. I promise these will be limited. I'm thinking 3 tops. I would like to have a summer income so putting ads on this site will help with that. Sorry but bitches got to make money some how and I'm not very good at hooking. 

I may or may not make a Zombie Diaries Facebook fan page. I really doubt I would do anything different on there than I do on here but people can then "like" it I guess. Depends on my ambition this summer

A Facebook friend (I don't have real friends) posted this pic of his tee and I instantly had to steal this image! I'd steal the shirt as well but I'm pretty sure I'd get clobbered by one of his giant boots. They look something like the one below.


 

You don't mess with that shit. Also the boots look like they would come in handy for curb stomping zombies. I approve of this attire.

Wallpaper that is! It seems that everything we use now has options to change the background or an image of some kind: Twitter, Facebook and its cover photos, blogs, our desktops...and no, that doesn't mean this kind of desktop.
