Sorry I am like 2 weeks late on these one guys!

The Crime
Emily Sparrow shows up in the woods after 8 months wounded and dying. She dies but her baby is taken to hospital. Rumors are the boyfriend may have caused her harm. Emily ended up being kidnapped by a dog catcher along with some other girls to be sister wives. 




Zowers (Zombie Powers):

• Maternal instincts 
• Attachment to the Sparrow baby

Major news: Major accidentally gets Clive quoted in a newspaper indicating the lost kids aren't his priority. Major is still trying to get info on the Candyman and gets the license plates, tracks the car down, break into it, causing him to get arrested but not before he sees a container with human brains in it. This gets him in a cell with some troubled guys to say "Thank you" on behalf of the police for the quote in the paper. 

Meanwhile...: 
Kids are still missing and the press is getting demanding. Um....remains of the kids were found at the dog catcher's place....oh that doesn't seem right.
Liv and Ravi are trying to keep tabs on Blaine.
Ravi is starting to test different levels of Utopium to find out what dosage caused zombism.
Liv's mom gives the Evan the application for Blaine's scary butcher shop.
Liv and Lowell had some weird vibes going on. Turns out Lowell had brains of a gay guy in his system. Made for a drunk and laughing montage.

•  "Unless you have the urge to make me lunch and do my laundry." "You wish. Have you really not eaten lunch?" She keeps asking him if he is hungry. - Liv and Ravi

• "Look Beetlejuice I don't remember saying your name three times..." - Emily's boyfriend to Liv

Thoughts

• Liv's bro Evan better not end up butchered or zombified. 
• Really hope Liv and Lowell get closer. Loving these two!
• OMG Suzuki is just all over his zombie skills using it to be unstoppable in his police skills. But killing people, even if they are the bad guys and you are using them to cover up your own trail of dead bodies while being in cahoots with Blaine, is a terrible thing to do. Suzuki seems totally aware of Liv now too. 
• OH shit the rats are being eaten! Success in the zombie rat experiment I guess.

iZombie recap: Flight of the Living Dead

The Crime:

Sky diver ends up dead in a tree even though she has been doing these kind of dangerous and adventurous stunts all her life. Ends up it is Peyton and Liv's old sorority pal Holly they voted out of the dorm. Everyone is convinced it has something to do with their friend Lowell since he jumped last instead of Holly. Turns out Carson, one of the divers, not only had a girlfriend and had cheated on her with Holly way back, but Holly also caught Carson in bed with a their dude friend Ren. So Richie Rich gets some GHB from Daddy and Eliza puts it in her drink before they went diving to keep Holly quiet to save everyone's job and careers. 

Zowers (Zombie Powers):

• Adventurous drive and thrill seeking

Major news: Major is now after finding Jerome. Dude! We know Blaine ate him. Poor Major. Major asks Clive for some help to try and find this Candyman character. Clive goes out on his own time and questions some kids only to find SO many kids missing. Major does a little searching at the skate park too, finding the dude who has Jerome's shoes. Then a brawl goes out and Major is left motionless at the skate park. 

Meanwhile...:

Clive is not in the good books with his Lieutenant Suzuki. Suzuki questions Liv about her employment. Later when Clive is talking to Suzuki we see him clipping his nails, then putting hot sauce in his drink.....FREAKIN out here! And Suz was pretty adamant on keeping Clive off from looking into missing person until there is a body. It is like he is totally hiding more than him being a Z.

• "Then one day I see this beautiful woman; she's the only thing in color. Odd cause she's so pale" - Lowell

Thoughts

• OMG Lowell and Liv need to get on eachother. So cute and he is a zombie. Great catch for Liv. Just got make zombie babies already. I'm over Major already. 
• Carson McComb aka DICK FROM VERONICA MARS. Love seeing these old actors on this show. And just as much as a Dick as ever. 
• Lowell wearing that 27 and Dead shirt. You know the dead 27 Club? Pretty clever.

TWD Season 5 Finale

I hope everyone is well and almost celebratory after last night's The Walking Dead. Please if you have not seen the show, DO NOT READ! SPOILERS! You have been warned.

I was so glad not to see any of our beloved group suffer more loss. I think I'm still getting over Noah. 
In 90 minutes of a finale, we see a beat-down with Glenn and Nicholas, Sasha and Gabriel get some inner peace, Daryl and Aaron get trapped and then saved, wolves are out hunting, and I think Deanna has a change in mind about Rick. Everyone happy with the finale? I know I am! Good-bye Porch Dick! (see funny Ballad of Porch Dick here)
Also, I think the episode should have been called "Saved" instead of "Conquer". I'll show you why.

• Glenn gets lured by that idiot Nicholas, even gets shot and have a huge brawl, yet great Glenn decides to keep Nic alive, saving him from being a dick I guess.

• After Rick's beat down with Pete, Carol lets Pete know he has a choice to make: live or be an idiot. Seems like he chose to be psycho cuz just as Rick comes in after saving the whole incompetent town from Gabriel's messed up death wish and walkers roaming in the backyards, Rick has to go ahead and save the town from Pete. Pete went irrational, cuts Reg's throat, causing everyone to see what a dick he really is. Deanna gives the go ahead. YAY RICK! Back in charge. 

• Although not everyone was saved from death in this episode (RIP Reg and I guess to Pete), others seemed to be save in other ways. Sasha wants some help and clearly getting some rest with some zombies didn't help. Sasha goes to Gabriel, who doesn't know whether to die or live, seeking to be guided. Father Gab and Sasha rumble and tumble and of course the old pastor's daughter comes and saves the day. 

• Daryl and Aaron are on a mission to get some red poncho guy and get caught in a trap. Who comes along and saves them but.....MORGAN!!!

Guys! Morgan was there from the beginning and we have seen him sneaking around and following something and finally we see him kicking ass and being completely zen about it. He just wants to find Rick you guys! And he does. The finale ends with their weird reunion after Rick has just put Pete down.

What do you think Season 6 is going to be like? OH HUGE question: WHO THE HELL ARE THESE WOLVES DUDES?! Are they cutting the Ws in their flock? I was still confused by that whole thing.

Other questions: Glenn going to be friends with Nic? What kind of catch up are Morgan and Rick going to have? Will Jessie ever sleep with Rick after his quick shooting to her abusive husband? SCarol going to be around still? Carl going to get to first base?! SO many legit answers that we need.  Till next season...

Z Nation

While I was missing my ultra fave and unbeatable zombie show, The Walking Dead, I had a hankering to see some Zs. Behold! Z Nation was the answer. Praise Netflix! 
Nothing can compare to TWD with it's 5 seasons of lovable characters, a comic book series which the show is based off of, their own talk show after hours (The Talking Dead), books, and creative cast and crew that makes every episode a nail biting experience. I never have to clip my nails! 


Z Nation is about a group trying to transport a fine "gentleman" named Murphy since he may be the only immune survivor after a zombie virus has spread the world in the last 3 years. Operation Bitemark is in place to get to Cali from NY to retrieve the antibodies to create a vaccine with the help of Citizen Z working his tech magic from NSA outpost in the Arctic.
One thing about this crew, they are way more light in the subject of zombies and death and BOY does death come quickly to a lot of the group. Who is in the group you ask? *SPOILERS AHEAD*

Remember Doing that thing you do? or Dead Man on Campus and even An American Werewolf in Paris? They all have one cutie in common! Tom Everett Scott. While he is one of the best looking of the cast and most recognizable in the group, his character Sgt. Charles Garnett doesn't last long. I was so devastated cuz things between him and the leading lady Roberta was getting STEAMY. Netflix teased me about his character and another guy being in the show for a long while since their faces were dominant in the picture preview. LIES!! This show may as well be called Game of Zs. 

Without going into details about ALL the characters, one that is not in the picture above is a little not NEW GUY,  DJ Qualls. I've seen him more recently as a former reoccurring character on Supernatural.  Qualls character, Private First Class Simon Cruller aka Citizen Z, is a lone man safe from the danger of zombies but not from the duties of surveying the zombies and warning folks of anything disastrous like a zunami (a zombie tsunami). Qualls offers many laughs which is what I find great about this show. 

Z Nation is fast paced, less in-depth with origin stories, not afraid to kill off characters, might be a little unrealistic with their zombies (which is saying something since z's are pretty sci-fi), and they have their own approach to zombies. They do seem to have the infinite bullet cheat when it comes to combat. Each character brings just enough laughs without making the entire show corny in their drama, horror approach. 
The light-heartedness I get from the show is something I appreciate compared to the drama in TWD. Nothing can beat that show though! But if you just can't get enough Z's in your week, binge on some hilariously weird and quirky Z Nation.
Season 2 returns this year.

First off...that cover. Someone one Goodreads was thinking that it was ugly and it resembled a little too much like White Chicks. YIKES! and lol. That is just the icing on top of this bizarre novel of weird spiritual zombies and ghosts that has nothing to do with Alice in Wonderland more and more. 

So dead on

So the gang is still fighting zombies but Justin, a distrusting dude from the first book, gets bit while out on a zombie run. Within moments he starts to turn and bites Ali. Thus begins the spiral of Ali versus her evil Zombie self that is starting to emerge from within. She sees this evil Ali in her reflection; a hint to AIW. 

Cole thinks there is a spy among the group, zombies are getting stronger, and teen hormones are going nuts!! And that is where I went from wanting to rate this 4 to a 3. SOO much teen lust and horrible "sexy" talk. I kept being disturbed cuz in most of the YA I read it is just more kissy stuff. This was trying to be subtle in some boob grabbing and dry humps. Yup! That happened. (I was going to insert a gif for that but....its too weird out there on the net). Plus these characters are now 17 so I had to keep that in mind when it came to all the sex talk. Cuz there was a lot. And a lot of this on my end..

Anyways, still enjoyed the plot probably better this time since I knew what to expect with the zombie spirit stuff. Will read the next one for sure. Gone this far.

In this installment we see Smither's POV with his life with the Lodge's. We learn he takes his job very seriously but he made a promise to Mrs. Lodge to look out for Veronica. Lotta good that is going to do with all the zombies around.

Meanwhile, Archie is proving to be a whiny bitch to Betty. JK folks! He is sad about his dad. I mean he did die. 

Others in the house are trying to get calm for the night but Reggie is a homophobic ass to Keller, the two lesbians aren't getting along now with the one's bf in the picture, and zombies appear to have surrounded the place. Time to leave the mansion ! Will they survive?
Considering there are more to come out, seems like they will.
