Random Zombie Art

Being a huge fan of the comics and then later the show, iZombie is recreated here with Gwen (not Liv) chowing down on some brains. Just as Lady-I-Hellsing mentioned in her description, Gwen and Liv are totally different characters but we can appreciate their common love for brains!
MMM brains

Pilot Down by DugStanat is an undead fighter pilot made from ceramic. I'd like to see a movie about zombie pilots made from claymation or something.

Zombie Mustache by Reitanna-Seishin is quirky and creepy looking. Not sure how a mustache becomes a zombie but this works.

These brooches aren't the kinds your Grandmothers wore. These plushies can spice up a bag, look charming on a collar, or just be cute on anything. Thanks to mad-hatter-71 for creating such cool things.

My Neck, My Back

So back to work means long bus rides and awkward naps. Any commute where you aren't the driver could use this fleecy pussy to support your neck and have some Zzz's. Grab the zombie cat travel neck pillow on Etsy for around $52 CAD.

Puppy Dress Up

If you don't pay attention to my twitter then you won't know why I haven't been the greatest blogger lately. I got a puppy!!! Dexter is taking up all my time being super cute and teething. He noms me to death, likes to pee on the floor, and little humping action happens from time to time. This MinPin is one crazy pup.

Speaking of crazy, dressing up dogs is something people love to do. So if I am to ever do so I better do it with class. A zombie puppy costume for your puppy seems like a little redundant but still looks funny and adorable.

If that wasn't enough, the zombie lawn gnomes can inspire a great look for your pooch.

That pooch looks thrilled.

Welcome to my World

Besides being a zombie enthusiast or a unicorn tamer, I am a Library Technician for one of the local school divisions in my city. Part of my job that I love being able to do is decorate our library and being involved with activities....and scaring children. JK!

Since I love me some zombies I have pushed the whole zombie awareness month to our students (come to the dark side!!) and so glad at the response and involvement! I want to share with you now some photos of displays, crafts, and my home away from home :)

Today in fact we did a craft with the Grade 3-5s, some younger and older students as well, and the craft was to create zombie rocks. I got the idea here but with some collaboration came up with putting googly eyes on to speed up the process and all the rocks were painted ahead of time. Kids just had to pick a rock, draw on what they wanted it to look like, then glue some eyes and paint on some white.  The one to the left is my example kids had to follow.
I know...I'm a true Picasso.

Some of the wee ones were given the option to draw themselves as zombies from this template. I even provided a sample again. SO proud of how these turned out.

My lovely and most awesomest Teacher Librarian, friend, and co-worker pumped out these zombies shambling their way into our YA section. READ BOOKS! Creates good brains!
I know it is all tiny but if you look close I added some cute zombies to my children's display. Nothing like zombies frolicking in the flowers and butterflies to bring a smile to your face.
Our zombie rocks this afternoon are now displayed in the Zombie Awareness display. SO adorbs! Some kids got a little crazy with the white paint but truly impressed how these look.
Mine is in the middle facing out :)

This is just the display as a whole. To make kids really think about survival rather than brain eating corpses, I promoted the survivalist approach in the display and I'm hoping I didn't cause any nightmares this month, besides my own after seeing some of the kids' art.

I think it is really important to get kids talking about survival in any instant, to promote some crafting, get kids reading, use their imagination and to freakin have some fun in the whole process.

Mission complete.

Loving you!

You got that special sweetheart in your life? A bae? I sure do. And there is nothing better than knowing the two of you are so deeply in love and nothing can change that, not even some rotting zombies.  *BARF*...Now that supper has made a visit....

Zombie Lovers Art Print proves that the world somehow romanticizes about killing the undead together and how sweet it is. Well...not so sure about that...What is sweet, is this art just for how cool it looks.

My Brain is Puppy Crazy

I have been on the search for a dog and been waiting awhile to get one and finally in the last few weeks things are starting to get real. I finally got my paws on a MinPin and will be coming home to us 2 months from now. He was just born 2 days ago so got to see him today! So until I have him home with me, I've been on Pinterest, Etsy, and other sites gathering zombie swag for my dog.

The Barking Dead and the Shaun of the Dog below are from Etsy and I am SO getting both of these. Super adorable. Both are from the seller Electrolucy. There are so many great geeky bandanas you can get your little furry animal as well.

Glow in the Dark Bones Skeleton isn't something just for Halloween. I'd have my little pooch in this all. da. time.

Got a great little hunter in the family? Wear it proud with a female red dress Zombie Hunter OR for those of us that will be having a little male, see his little shirt below.

February Horror Block

As I have mentioned before, I have subscribed to Nerd Block's Horror Block and this last month was a great theme: Werewolves, Zombies, Vampires! OH M! And with a BITE to it.
Not only did the block come with a book, which will be a new thing every month, it came with 3 things related to zombies.

Frankenstein is the be all of all undead creatures, so having his bride show up on a shirt was pretty rad. I can even wear it to work!

This little guy plushie is what a zombie virus would look like. I've got this weirdly cute guy on my book shelf close to his themed books.

The containment unit I have yet to open. It has a weird little zombie statue in it. The slime glows in the dark but I really don't want to feel the consistency of this stuff. Some poor Blocker on Instagram asked for no more slime since it opened in his box and got all over his things. GROSS!

Looking forward to March Block. Looks like it may be 2 items from The Walking Dead. BTW OMG!!!!! NOAH!!!

Monday Mention: Zombie in Love

Zombie in Love (Zombie in Love #1)

by

This is a juvenile read but it was SO funny and SO cute I just had to get my hands on it. The best part was the ad he posted (see picture). After the first line I knew only adults or those familiar with a certain Buffet would appreciate this. I love when authors do this.
The story was less focus on being a zombie and more just someone trying to find love, which we all want right?? Do zombies feel love?? I don't know but they sure seem to love dem brains.

Mortimer trying his smiling. I LOL'd to this way too hard.

If you have little zombie lovers then I suggest buying this and making it a new fav read.

Attack of the Zombies!

Attack of the Zombies!

by

SOO much cuteness! I'm a fan of the show and could easily get the voices in the head to make this a complete joy. Yes I am in my late 20's and watch more cartoon children shows than some children.
Here is the plot: Gary is annoying Squidward with his slime every where and Gary then bites him. Patrick gets everyone so concerned that Gary has not been tested for Mad Snail Disease and it causes you to turn into a zombie. Squirdward starts showing the signs Patrick listed and meanwhile, Gary has gone around biting more folks!

SpongeBob cannot believe his snail would be the cause of this madness. Of course folk all over start panicking, destroying Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob heads to the Krusty Krab to get away to safety, but Krabs thinks everyone is hungry! Gary shows up and bites SpongeBob. Does our yellow sponged friend succumb to the zombie madness? Or is everyone going mad for other reasons?
