Instagram Zombie Art

I like my instragram a lot. I spam it with my minpin pics, books I am reading, shit I buy, and of course the odd zombie stuff that I go gaga over. What I love mostly is finding artists or accounts that are showcasing zombies.
Excuse all the screen shots....too lazy to crop and want to show credit.

Kathleen Saunders does many Prismacolor pencils on Strathmore paper and great nerd mash-ups. She is my fav to look at. One of her works caught my eye for my blog: The Walking Disney. Love it!

Fredrik Edén, "illustrator from the cold north", does some pretty dope zombie illustrations of all kinds of nerdy.

Video games, Disney, tv shows and movies are a great inspiration to zombify for Edén.

Hit the jump to see more of his gruesome zombie drawings.

Thank you, Mario! Your quest is over.

Kody Koala enjoys making weird video game sculptures and figurines. Here we get to see Mario thanked graciously for all his hard work saving Princess Peach by Zombie Peach consuming his brains on top of a dead mushroom and some bones. Probably Luigi. Bishes be cray.
See more pictures of his work here.

iZombie recap: Virtual Reality Bites

The Crime:
A 300 lbs internet troll and computer hacker is found dead after a week in his home. Simon Cutler, a shut in and an asshole, only had things delivered to his doggy door like donuts. While heart attack was unlikely, turns out he had an allergic reaction to peanuts being spread in a confetti-sprung card. Cutler had treated Shaynee, a customer service caller, like crap and Cutler's victim posted it onto a sight full of things Cutler had done with his hacking skills. Ruining lives was his specialty and he was the most hated people on the internet. He ruined this poor girl's life to the point of a year of harassment lead Shaynee to her suicide. Her brother decided to get revenge.

Another crime happens when the body of the young delivery man is found nearly decapitated with his stomach full of expensive food. Clive goes on a search but we all know who did the crime. Clive is almost lured into Blaine's psycho meat shop, but saved by Liv's call.

Zowers (Zombie Powers):

  • Agoraphobia
  • Hacking
  • Nerd skills
  • Appetite for sweets and junk food
  • Sweet gaming skills

Major news: Major head wound!? Way to freak us out iZombie. Major is okay. Just really banged up. Major is now on a quest to get more information on the Candyman, comes across some videos of Jerome at the skate park, and finds not only the Candyman that he had a run in with, but Ravi sees Blaine in the background and shows Liv.

Meanwhile...:
Blaine's weird sugar mama GF freaks out over not getting her brains and kills the delivery boy for some of his young brains. Blaine gets all suspicious since his delivery boy seems to be gone. GF gets a visit and there was a different kind of drilling about to happen.
Liv and Lowell were to go on a date but her agoraphobia kicked in so a little night in comes into play.

Nourishment:
Rotten brain shake
MOUNDS of junk food and pop

SWOON

Brainy lines

  • "The man's too good looking. I'm giving him character." - Ravi while stitching Major up
  • "If I hadn't stumbled in and totally rocker blocked this dude..." - Major  (guess another term for C@ck blocker. haha)
  • Liv calling out "Son of a bitch" when she finds out Cutler was probably killed somehow and she now has to drink his brains.
  • "Must. Have. Donuts. Great. I ate Homer Simpson's brain" - Liv
  • "I don't even know what I'm doing. But I know if I use my freezing spell I can take out all 7 witches. I hate this crap!" - Liv
  • "Sooo did you run out of napkins or did you just run by an Oompa Loompa? Some on your butt too. Not that I was looking." - Lowell to Liv with her cheese puffs all over her
  • “I’m a were-terrier with healing powers called Arf Vader. This is going to be epic.”- Ravi (throwback to the comic guys!)

Thoughts

  • BARF!! Rotten, liquid brains.
  • I can't even come up with a name for Liv and Lowell. They are perfect. Glad Blaine is a dick and that wasn't being forced. Lowell is a better choice. Glad Lowell gets his brains from a mortician/funeral home.
  • Where is Blaine going to get his action from now? That guy just gives me chills.
  • OMG was that Liv’s mom at the end? Don’t get your son to work at that butcher shop!

Zombie count
9 or is it 8 now cuz I think Blaine's GF and him are done.

Munchkin Zombies

ne me parlent French
Why isn't this real?! Wait it is? Oh thanks Google.
I've played some good old Munchkin Quest with my nerd friends and I was pumped when I saw this photo on DeviantArt by hadh to have a zombie Munchkin game created . Well thanks to some googling I was embarrassed I hadn't discovered this sooner.

The World of Munchkin has a Zombie spin off! You play the zombies getting you hands on some brains. Your foe? Humans. They want to kill you. GASP! Are you really that shocked.

You stumble about collecting whatever garbage your living brethren have left behind and you use that to save your coconut and to defend yourself.

OKAY who is my new BFF and getting me this?!

Then I demand we have a 12 hour game sesh with alcohol being a must.

Nerd Block's Horror Block

Before Christmas I kept hearing from friends about getting a monthly little box full of nerd goodies. My friends were mostly subscribing to Loot Crate, an epic monthly subscription box for geeks and gamers for under $30 CAN. You can subscribe for 1, 3, or 6 months. It gets delivered right to your door!
ANYWAYS! I got all excited but before I just threw my money away I came across Nerd Block, the new competition to Loot Crate. And to be honest, I'm loving it.
Nerd Block costs about the same with the same monthly options and a monthly theme or category, but major differences are Nerd Block always has a shirt, a magazine, and there are even 5 different theme choices within Nerd Block.

These are:

  • Horror
  • Arcade
  • Classic
  • Jr boys
  • Jr girls

OF COURSE I choose Horror block and suggest that if you love The Walking Dead, gore, guts, classic horror films, etc, then you need to have this.
So far I have only had one month but what I got was so wicked and what they are hinting at for this month (American Horror Story items and 2 shirts!! EEEEEE!).
Here are a few things I got for the December box:
Frankenstein!!
weird squishy skeleton
HEEEERRE'S JOHNNY!
Um zombie disinfectant

And this was the only little sneak at zombie for this box this month, but I know there has been Walking Dead items and the box itself is a zombie "Don't Open Dead Inside" box.
BOOYAH!

Next time I get anything zombie related I will only post those but I had to share with you zombaes. ;)

Merry Christmas to me!!

Holidays are great for surprise presents and when you buy most of them yourself, atleast you know you won't be disappointed with another knife block set.
What you see is the most awesomest Yahtzee game to exist! Found at your local nerd store or even ThinkGeek. I was so happy for this gem!!! ;)
Look how great Gerald looks with my unread undead book collection! Can't even tell there is a great number game inside that handsome head of his.

I went on a random comic shop spree and came across some more items to spend my money on instead of little orphaned children. I got a sweet deal on it all too!! The Walking Dead socks a snagged for $9 CAD and I got a weird series of comics (issues 1-4) about a retriever who kills zombies. Um ya. Awesome!!!! All issues came out to $7.  The HP necklace just happens to be in the pic since I had to Instagram that sh!t. Can't leave my nerd fans out of these great kinds of all kinds.

What did you get this Christmas holiday? Did you reward yourself like I did? Cuz we know we are da bomb.

wait.....da bomb...?? I'm old.

The Walking Dead game

Miss The Walking Dead? Me too. *le sad* Read all the comics? Want something else to do? Enjoy video games? Me too! Play this game or replay for those in a zombie fix.

Now while I never really played The Walking Dead game (too scared to play zombie games), I watched the first TellTale game of The Walking Dead over the shoulder of a pillow while my fiance played and made all the opposite choices I suggested. Don't know the game that well? Here is a rundown of the first episode.

So basically you have a limited time to choose important decisions on top of having to keep safe and the people around you. While some choices you think are simple actually impact what you do later. "Joe will remember that" feels like an ominous feeling you keep with you throughout the whole game. I know one of the first choices is to save a kid or a guy. If you don't choose either in the "invisible time", bad shit will happen. To make you feel even worse after playing the episode, it ranks a percentage of what you chose to all the other players. I would have been that person that got all the lower percentages. I would choose all the violent and crappy choices unlike my fiance who manages to go with the more compassionate side.
With 5 episodes to play, what can be better than being graded on your choices and feeling miserable, not only about the sad plot line, but the consequences of a fictional character dealing with fictional zombies?? Maybe eating Grandma's fresh baked cookies? It's a toss up.

Want more facts on the game? Here:

Zombie Games Part 2

Round 2 of reviewing games from the Google Play! I'm sure most of these are available for Apple but I only have Android so you'll have to look yourself.

Zombie Run is the equivalent of Temple Run, a game where you use your thumbs to swipe to turn, jump, or duck and collect vials and brain pieces. Although the premise of this game is super simple, it is also addictive. There are daily and weekly goals and you can upgrade to be different types of zombies running away from weird hunters with pitchforks.

4 out of 5 monkey brains

Zombie Escape...exactly the same deal as Zombie Run but this time you are running away from a zombie and there are more playing maps. There are zombies some times that show up on your running course that you can either avoid or hit with a knife. I like to stab them cuz I'm gory and morbid like that. You also get to ride on a witch's broom when you hit a speed up button. Weird.....

4 out of 5 monkey brains

Zombies Ate My Friends has to be my favourite game so far and is why I haven't gone much further in exploring zombie games. Festerville is populated with zombies and it is up to you to help others, kill zombies, gather supplies, and work your way up to getting better weapons and gears.
This game is written comically with characters peeing their pants, a flasher, and an a-hole stealing everyone's gear.
