Zombie Kid Diaries Volume 3: Walking Dad

How a third novel was made in this series is beyound me! BUT let's review it.
In this third adventure of Bill Stokes, Bill's deadbeat of a father comes into his and his zombie mom's life. After being released from jail, Bill's dad comes to try and gain custody, not for the love of his son, but for money. Dad is even willing to scheme his way putting Mom and Bill's zombie life at risk of exposure.
The story
line was a bit better. The kid had to deal with parental issues with his
dad and it was nice to see the mom be more of a mom than a weird grunting...well..zombie. The illustrations
seemed to go well with the novel. I liked one picture in particular
reference to the Charlie Brown/Lucy doctor advice. And for that I enjoyed the novel a bit more than the last. I don't think any kid who reads this novel would pick up the reference of this picture. Good move Denham.
