The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and the Undead
by
Don Borchert
Ripped from the undead hands of Mark Twain comes Borchert's version of the classic tale of a young boy and his adventures. Instead of whitewashing fences, Tom is sharpening the ends to harm any Zums. Tom is still going after treasures and being a brat, but with more gore and blood and tons of undead.
Basically
a word for word account of the original classic tale but instead a life
where Zums (zombies) roam around and Tom wants to become a Zum hunter
and Injun Joe* is more than just dead, but undead.
And this took my forever to read only because I got bored with it and the lack of zombies to entice me to read on. Overall I did enjoy reading about the boyhood of Tom, but will refrain from recommending this to anyone else, so don't bother finding out how bad this was. I am saved you from this torment.
